UK NATS begins process of London airspace changes
UK air navigation services provider NATS has started a 14-week “consultation” process through
January 21 to gather comments from airlines and other interested groups on proposed airspace
changes surrounding Gatwick and London City airports.
Europe to grant further ETS concessions after ICAO deal
The European Commission is proposing for its existing emissions trading scheme (ETS) amendments
that would confirm the continued exemption from the cap-and-trade system for flights outside the
airspace of the 28 European Union member states as well as European Economic Area states Iceland,
Liechtenstein and Norway.
Comoros rescinds EWA Air’s rights at the last minute
EWA Air suffered an inauspicious start to its operations on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 when
Comorian authorities refused the airline permission to land at Moroni International.
Etihad pulls out of Libya over safety concerns
Etihad Airways has temporarily suspended its three weekly passenger flights and two weekly cargo
flights to the Libyan capital, Tripoli, effective immediately.
Cyprus Airways flies into debt storm
Cyprus Airways (CA) and Hermes Airports yesterday continued their bitter dispute over the millions
of euros the airports operator says it is owed by the troubled national carrier.
Puerto Rico’s international airport to be expanded
Puerto Rico’s governor says the U.S. territory’s main international airport is being expanded, in part
to benefit passengers aboard private jets and chartered flights.

China implemented WGS-84 in 2011. There have been reported issues concerning the accuracy of
the published coordinates especially the airport reference data which is causing inaccurate data
warnings during the landing phase.
