Finnair may shed hundreds of jobs to cut losses
Finnish national carrier Finnair said Thursday that negotiations were underway with staff that
could lead to the loss of 680 jobs.
Cebu Pacific seeks clearance to Europe
Officials from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines and Cebu Pacific are now in Belgium
to present a formal plea to the European Union to have the country’s largest low-cost airline
removed from the European Union’s list of blacklisted carriers.
Airbus inks China deals as governments break ice on ETS
An extension of the contract to maintain the A320 final assembly line in Tianjin, China, by another
10 years led a series of agreements Airbus entered with Chinese partners on Wednesday that also
marked the end of a bitter trade dispute over Europe’s Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS).
ANA orders 70 planes including 20 Boeing 777-9Xs
ANA restored Boeing’s momentum in the Japanese market by ordering 20 new generation 777X
wide-body aircraft after a stinging defection by Japan Airlines last year to Airbus.
