Asiana’s slow post-crash response leads to fine from U.S.
Asiana Airlines Inc. violated U.S. law by not promptly helping victims and family members after the
July crash in San Francisco of one of its planes, the Department of Transportation said in assessing
the first such fine against an aircraft carrier.
Austrian Airlines Group recruits 280 new flight attendants
The Austrian Airlines Group is hiring a total of 280 new flight attendants this year, of which 100 jobs
have not yet been filled.
Boeing said to seek buyers for $1.1 billion of early 787s
Boeing Co. (BA) is struggling to find buyers for 11 of its earliest 787 Dreamliners valued at $1.1 billion
after two airlines dropped orders for the holdover models from the jet’s troubled birth, people
briefed on the plans said.
Boston-area planes report lasers, FAA investigates
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating reports that someone pointed a laser light at the
cockpits of two airplanes in the Boston area.
