Lufthansa pilots vote for strike in pay row
German airline Lufthansa is facing more strike woes after pilots voted to bolster their demands
for better pay and working conditions with industrial action.
Tripoli Airport closed after rockets hit runway
Libyan authorities closed the airport in the capital Tripoli on Friday after rockets hit a runway,
airport sources and state media said.
Jamaica: $2.3 billion to improve aviation safety and security
The Government will be spending $2.3 billion (US$22 million) over the next two years to improve
aviation safety and security, by upgrading or replacing ageing technology, in keeping with
international standards.
AirNav Indonesia to invest $114 million
The new state-owned AirNav Indonesia plans to invest $114.4 million this year in new navigation
and communication equipment to develop the country’s navigation system.
Cebu Pacific completes Tigerair deal
Cebu Pacific has completed the deal to acquire Tigerair’s 40 per cent stake in Tigerair Philippines,
part of a wide-ranging strategic alliance between the two airlines.

Irish regional carrier Aer Arann is to undergo a name change to reflect the identity of its controlling
shareholder.
